The most successful Canadians know what they are good at. They work hard to create wealth, and with it, enrichment, freedom, and fulfillment. That same energy they are using to build their wealth today often does not translate into building a family legacy for the future.
That is because wealth creation is demanding. And with wealth comes complexity.
My passion is helping high-net-worth Canadian families reach their wealth management goals and protect their future. I have seen firsthand how wealth influences families – both positively and negatively. Families who develop an understanding of this impact and who learn to navigate these difficulties just seem to end up happier. As a Family Enterprise Advisor, I have invested the past 40 years helping successful families do just that.
If the idea of having a shared system your family believes in and planning for generational wealth seems daunting, that is where I can help. The best planning comes from:
• asking the right questions • defining your purpose • understanding your dreams • creating trust • bringing it all together in a way that benefits you and your family
It frees you to continue to do what you love, knowing that you have a clearly defined roadmap, being managed for you and with you to make the complicated simple.
Let us get started.
My community involvement Philanthropy has always been important to me, and I’ve combined my passion for cycling with many worthy causes, including the Ride for the Cure for cancer research, Ride for Heart and Tour de Bleu for various medical causes. I’m proud to have founded Cycle4StJoes, The Jim Hunter Ride for ALS and Ride the River to support Brockville General Hospital. And I sit on the Foundation Board of St Joseph Hospital, the hospital where my five grandchildren were born.
